BEIRUT, LEBANON

This apartment was bought on the eve of the financial crisis that shook Lebanon in October 2019. To this crisis, a global pandemic and a double explosion resulted in a two years delay on the site.

The other major challenge was to keep the titles of nobility of this Beirut loft designed by its former owner, renowned architect Raed Abillama.

We kept the original concrete chimney and staircase while slightly modifying the layouts, expanding the dining room and the master bedroom.

For each area, the general moods were set by the functionality and natural light source in the room, defining the materials and the colors scheme while trying to keep a minimalistic feel and references from all over the globe, notably Middle Eastern, Japanese and Brazilian.
